Cybersecurity Center
Creating an ecosystem of templates
SEL set out to establish itself as a thought leader in the cybersecurity industry. While the company had engineers capable of leading high‑level discussions on cybersecurity theory and practice, there was no centralized destination to house and showcase this thought leadership.
THE CHALLENGE
The Cybersecurity Center would function as a centralized hub that brings together articles, research papers, and videos authored by SEL subject‑matter experts. As lead designer, I designed a cohesive ecosystem of pages that felt both recognizably SEL and distinctly branded for the Cybersecurity Center, allowing users to easily explore and engage with a growing library of content in one place.

Developed a distinct UI that leveraged SEL brand elements while remaining visually unique from the primary corporate site
Designed a user‑friendly chip‑based filtering system to narrow content by topic and media type
Applied a cyan treatment to featured content to improve scannability and highlight priority pieces
Implemented breadcrumbs to support clear, intuitive navigation
Used subject‑matter chips to guide users directly to related topics
Designed content cards to surface additional, relevant resources

Included author bios to clearly establish credibility and expertise
Enabled filtering of all content by author using chips, reinforcing individual thought leadership
REFLECTION
The Cybersecurity Center has been live for four years and continues to scale successfully. The flexible page template has accommodated evolving content needs and multiple media types without requiring redesign. The Center has become a reliable resource across cybersecurity conferences, sales meetings, and tradeshows, supporting SEL’s position as a trusted authority in the space.
